About our speaker

George Vasquez,

Youth & Young Adult Minister

George Vasquez is married to his wife Carleen, and they have 3 boys. George and his family enjoy spending their time doing normal family things, like going to church, sports, the beach, theme parks, museums, but they most especially like to vacation in Yosemite.

George has been in Youth Ministry for over 25 years. He met his wife in ministry, and they continue to support each other as well as youth in the Church to be true disciples of Christ.

Having found his faith when he was a teen, going to youth group, confirmation, and retreats, George’s passion and calling has always been to bring young people closer to Christ and His Church.

He served as a Catholic missionary with NET ministries and after studying Philosophy at Cal State Long Beach, he has continued to work full time in Youth Ministry for over 16 years. George is honored and blessed to have served in various parishes in both the L.A. Archdiocese and Orange Diocese. He is passionate about bringing his experiences and knowledge to serve the St. Hedwig youth and community.

He is also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and volunteer at Kaiser Downey NICU. George enjoys hiking, talking baseball, paintballing, collecting cards with his sons and loves to spend his free time studying scripture.
